National Family Caregivers Month

November is nationally recognized as National Family Caregivers month. The Long Island Alzheimer's & Dementia Center values all hardworking and kind dementia caregivers. The Center is a 'one-stop-shop' for caregivers to find respite, guidance and a community. We provide referrals, transportation, as well as support groups and educational trainings which are held during day program hours to provide respite and convenience. At the Long Island Alzheimer's & Dementia Center we value self-care. We provide Memory Cafe luncheons, a yoga program and comfort knowing their loved one is safe and treated with dignity.
