LIAD Center Announces Honoree for Annual Women’s Luncheon

The Long Island Alzheimer’s and Dementia (LIAD) Center is pleased to announce that Jennifer Devine of Caring People has been selected as the 2020 Women’s Luncheon & Fashion Show Honoree.

“Jennifer is the ideal honoree. She is a community leader, not only of high standard, but also of personal integrity and compassion,” says Tori Cohen, Executive Director of the LIAD Center. “Her dedication and passion have made her widely known in the field, and Jennifer’s goals align with the LIAD Center’s mission - together we improve the quality of life for those living with a dementia diagnosis.”

The LIAD Center’s Women’s Luncheon & Fashion Show is an annual fundraiser that celebrates the hard-work and compassion of caregiving. Approximately two-thirds of caregivers are women. This event provides a day of fashion, shopping and fun, while also supporting the hands-on programs and services provided to diagnosed individuals and caregivers.

“I am so overwhelmed with this tremendous honor from the LIAD Center. I am hoping we can spread the word about the incredible programs the LIAD Center offers and what it is to be dealing with this awful disease,” said Jennifer Devine. “On Friday, April 24th at North Hempstead Country Club, I am so proud to raise awareness and be honored.”
