Forget Me Not Program
The Long Island Alzheimer's and Dementia Center is proud to announce the creation of a new program called Forget You Not. The mission of Forget You Not is to build connections between young adults and individuals living with Alzheimer's and other related dementia. By bridging the generational gap, we will create new memories and ensure that this population is not forgotten.
This program was founded by 12 teens from Schreiber's High School in Port Washington, NY. They are hardworking, dedicated, individuals who want to raise awareness while doing their best to provide enjoyment, smiles and connections to those living with this disease. During their visits to assisted living facilities, they will be engaging in many activities such as reading, dancing and playing games.
If you are a teen who would like to get involved with Forget You Not, we'd love to hear from you! Please fill out this brief form and return it to Long Island Alzheimer's and Dementia Center. If you have any questions, please contact Christine Rice at 516-767-6856 or crice@liaf.org. We look forward to meeting you!
