Respite Program
Long Island Alzheimer's and Dementia Center's in-home respite program provides two hours of in-home support every other week for Alzheimer’s and dementia families in Nassau County. Our highly trained respite workers provide supervision and stimulating cognitive activities for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia but cannot provide hands-on care. his is a great way to introduce help in the home, and fill in gaps in care.This program is partially funded by the Nassau County office for the Aging.
In-home respite provides caregivers with the time they need to rest, socialize with friends, run errands, and engage in self-care.
