Our mission is to help improve the quality of life for diagnosed individuals and caregivers living with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. For 30+ years the Long Island Alzheimer’s & Dementia (LIAD) Center has been committed to the belief that there is life worth living after a diagnosis. Our hands-on services include stage-specific day programs, one-on-one counseling, support groups, in-home respite, CEU trainings, educational programs, and so much more.
$10/month – help our staff meet families on Zoom for virtual counseling sessions and stimulation
$25/month – help cover the costs of our virtual one-on-one counseling service
$50/month – provide a week of door-to-door bus transportation for one family
$100/month – provide our staff with program tools, including craft supplies, tablets, PPE and more

At the Long Island Alzheimer's and Dementia Center, our mission is to improve the quality of life for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and related forms of dementia, and their caregivers. We actively work to achieve this mission through research-based programming for all stages of Alzheimer’s, Caregiver Support Groups, in-home respite solutions, transportation options, and additional services.
